Jackpot Digital Tops Off Eventful Week with Ontario Licensing News

Jackpot Digital Inc., based in Vancouver, concluded a busy week with the announcement that it has secured a license to operate within the Ontario casino market.

Expansion in Ontario

Jackpot offers dealerless electronic poker and table games and announced yesterday that the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) has granted the company a license as a registered Gaming Related Supplier in the province. This approval allows Jackpot to now provide electronic table games to gaming establishments in Ontario, including casinos and other regulated facilities.

“This approval provides us with the opportunity to offer our top-tier electronic gaming systems to operators throughout all of Ontario, positioning us for further growth in one of the world’s most robust gaming markets,” said Jake Kalpakian, CEO of Jackpot Digital, in a written statement.

"We are excited to bring our innovative products to Ontario’s gaming community and continue our commitment to providing exciting, technology-driven entertainment experiences.”

The firm also mentioned in the statement that it has already received inquiries from casinos throughout Ontario and “plans to promptly connect with gaming operators.”

The announcement Wednesday that Jackpot had signed a letter of intent to provide two of its flagship Jackpot Blitz machines to PENN Entertainment’s Boomtown Casino & Hotel New Orleans preceded that news.

The Jackpot Blitz combines 4K touchscreen technology with card vending features that simulate real card games, offering real-time monitoring of player statistics, bankroll, and bonuses. In addition to poker, players can also explore a collection of games such as Baccarat and Blackjack.

Poker Technology Without Dealers

Boomtown Casino is situated 15 minutes away from the French Quarter in New Orleans, featuring 800 slot machines and video poker games, along with 30 gaming tables.

Every newly installed machine signifies monthly recurring revenue for Jackpot Digital.

Jackpot stated that it has more licensing applications in progress in various regions in Canada and the U.S.

“We continue to experience significant demand for Jackpot Bitz across the United States and worldwide,” Kalpakian said. “We anticipate our momentum will continue to build through 2024 and beyond, as we acquire more licenses and new properties to our installation base.”

Jackpot has disclosed that it will establish land-based installations in California, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Oregon, U.S. Virgin Islands, Washington, and Saskatchewan.
